Think that small-diaphragm mics can only sound cold and clinical? Think again. This stereo pair of Soyuz 013 TUBE-M microphones offer the best of two beautiful worlds. These microphones boast the fast transient response and perfect off-axis response that you'd expect of a pencil microphone, but thanks to the output stage transformer and valve-based preamping, the sound is big, lush and packed with life. As such, the Soyuz 013 TUBE-M set is even able to handle more notoriously difficult instruments like concert pianos and double basses with apparent ease. This impressive duo comes neatly packed inside a deluxe wooden case complete with the specialised 4-pin cables needed to connect them up to the specialised power supply that comes included.
